Permitted use

Use Maigret to check a username you own, a subject who has authorized the work, or public information you may lawfully research. Respect site terms, privacy rights, intellectual property and applicable law. You are responsible for your purpose, authorization and use of the results.

Prohibited use

Do not use Maigret for stalking, doxxing, harassment, credential theft, bypassing access controls, unlawful discrimination or automated eligibility decisions about people. Do not use the app to obtain private account content or treat a shared username as proof that profiles belong to one person.

Accuracy and availability

Public websites change, fail, limit requests and block automated access. Coverage and results can be incomplete or stale. A missing result does not establish that an account is available to register, and a match does not verify identity or account control. No subscription guarantees a particular result, site coverage level or continuously available third-party website.

Versions and previews

The current App Store release is 3.0. Features labeled 3.1 preview or in development are not included merely because they appear on this site. They may change before release. Check the version and purchase screen inside your downloaded app before purchasing.

Purchases

Apple processes purchases, renewals, cancellation and refund requests. The product, renewal period, eligibility and localized price shown in Apple’s purchase sheet apply. See subscription guidance and refund guidance. Apple’s standard app license agreement applies unless a different license is shown for the app by Apple. These terms do not limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Data and your exports

Read the privacy policy for version-specific data handling. You control whether to export or share research data. Review it before sharing and retain only what is necessary for your legitimate purpose.

Open-source components

Maigret uses independently licensed software and rule data. Applicable notices remain available in the app. Compatibility with the Maigret or Sherlock projects does not imply that those projects endorse this app.
